How To Safely Share The Road With Motorcycles

May is Motorcycle Safety month, and an ideal time to review tips to keep motorcyclists safe on the road. Keep the following in mind when sharing the road with bikes and motorcycles:

• Check your blind spots before changing lanes or turning and always use turn signals.
• Avoid distractions while driving that could put other motorists, bike riders and motorcyclists at risk.
• Keep a safe distance from motorcyclists and bike riders to give them a chance to react.
• Pay special attention to your surroundings when turning left or approaching intersections.
